What Is The Worst Cooking Experience You Have Ever Had?

Well it seems like the more open topics are getting the most posts, so lets hear about your nightmare cooking experiences.

Once I put a 12 pack of bacon under the grill and went out into the garden. After about 30 minutes I remembered and opened up the kitchen door. The room was so thick with black smoke that I could not even see the cooker. I managed to turn th grill off and found the whole lot, including the tin foil had burnt to a black lump on the bottom of the pan. It took me the next 4 hours to clean the black off very surface in the kitchen and it smelt bad for the next week. At least my house didn't burn down though!
