We are planning to construct our home during commonwealth games. Should we postpone the plan?

We are planning to construct our home from 1st sept 2010. Contractor said that it will take around 5 months to complete the construction. Should we start the construction or wait for the completion of commonwealth games in Delhi. Because I heard that border will be sealed during games. But I don't know the exact impact of games on construction. Please help.
