Canada Road Trip Summer 2011....

So I have purchased a 1972 VW Camper Bus ( you should see it its awesome!) and am leaving the Toronto area headed west.

I am meeting a good friend of mine in BC and we will continue on to California for the winter months ... I Just thought I would make a post seeing if anyone is backpacking in that direction and would need a ride? I will be taking my time camping most of the time. Let me know if your headed the same way as me. I am planing on leaving in June 2011.

I'm planning a trip along with 3 other friends from Houston to somewhere in Canada, most likely Quebec for the Summer of 2011. Is it wise for us to go on a road trip to take in some of the American landscape along the way or to just fly there? We are all going to be between the ages of 18-19 and might get a car rented (if it's legal for someone our age) and take turns driving. I'm just looking for some advice.
