My gas boiler fires up even when heating is off?

Its driving me mad! Twice CORGI have been and said there is nothing wrong but it is constantly firing up every 5/10 minutes. The heating is switched off and no radiators are warming up but the constant drone of the pump or whatever is driving me mad.
